Java for the Teacher
Computer programs that instruct

A collection of Java computer programs specifically designed by junior and senior high school students to demonstrate classroom content. Over the course of the year, students will write computer programs to display topics that will help the teacher teach. For example,

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE

Java teachers are invited to have their students participate in 

  1. writing programs that teach or demonstrate classroom concepts

  2. augmenting programs that are already found here

  3. challenging other students with a programming idea that you have

  4. demonstrating results of these programs to teachers in your school who do not know how to program. Let us know their response.

Directions for teacher participation:

  1. Teachers, send your ideas or programs to Cathy McQuone Florida State University School, Tallahassee, FL

  2. Include the teachers' name, school and complete mailing address and e-mail address. Include the student's first name and first initial of last name. See the format of programs already on this site.

  3. Attach Notepad files to your email.

Directions for using programs on this site:

  1. Cut and paste the program into Notepad or your favorite program. Compile and run it.

  2. In order to copy the results, highlight the text you want to be displayed. Right-click on the menu bar at the top of the command prompt window. Select copy. Open a Notepad or Word file and Select paste.
