Your paper will consist of the following:
1. Title page: Include title, a picture, your name, date, period. (5 points)
2. The body of your paper needs to include the following:
- a. Nine sections labeled I to IX.(Optional X)
- (9 points each) Minimum of 100 words each.
- Each title is from the Jurassic Park Research (see back).
Answer each item or question completely.
You must include the source of each answer. Use the sample below if you used sources other than our text.- b. Personal Research Section (9 points):
- Select one topic for additional research. Summarize it. Minimum of 150 words.
- c. Color illustrations where appropriate. (5 points)
- (You must include pictures of the cell and DNA)
- 3. Include PARENT SIGNATURE on front cover.
Grading Criteria - Your grade will be based on:
- Content: correct answers, stays on subject, no copying from text or article.
Correct number of words.
Spelling: one point off for each word misspelled (up to 5 points off)
Grammar/usage: one point off for each mistake (up to 5 points)
- correct word choice (not I brang)
subject-verb agreement
correct tense of verbs- Papers that are COPIED (plagiarism) will be returned to student with a 0% grade.
Bonus points:
- 3 points if typed. (You are encouraged to use the word processor in the class.)
3 points if meaningful computer graphics related to topic added.
1-10 Exceptionally well-done
10 points if newsletter format is used or a homepage is designed.
Write the following information for each reference:
Book - Author or editor, complete title,
publisher, place of publication, edition, copyright date
Article in a magazine, newspaper or encyclopedia - author of
the article, title of the article, title of the source in which the
article appears, the source's date of publication, source's volume
number, the page number(s) of the article
Internet - Name of Home page and address of site (ask where to
find this on screen), author, if given, and author's e-mail
address.
