- Are the temperatures in
northern cities colder that southern cities?
- Did the eclipse have an
effect on temperature?
- Explain the reasons for the
data above.

Evaluation by Jessica: This graph compares the temperatures at
different latitudes using Universal Time at 15 minute internals.
We expected to see a noticeable decrease in temperature at the
height of the eclipse but there was no obvious change at any
latitude. This perhaps is because North America only viewed a
partial eclipse. The suns rays were not completey blocked so that
the earth's surface continued to be partial heated. The heat gain
by the land mass also prohibited a dramatic temperature
decline.
