PASS PROCEDURES
-------------------------------------
*Students are required to have a signed pass during regular school hours.

*Students enrolled in an after school program must have a pass from their program.

FSU STROZIER LIBRARY
-------------------------------------
Students in grades 9-12 are eligible for circulation privileges at Strozier. Applications are only accepted twice a year, at the beginning of each semester. Once the fall deadline passes, all late applications will be held until January. STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW ALL FSU LIBRARY POLICIES AND BEHAVE APPROPRIATELY WHILE ON CAMPUS. STUDENTS WHO FAIL TO FOLLOW SET PROCEDURES WILL HAVE THEIR PRIVILEGES REVOKED.

CIRCULATION OF MATERIALS

*Students are limited to 2 items. If a single overdue is unsettled, no additional materials may be checked out.

*Students are required to have teacher permission before checking out audiovisual materials.

*All items are checked out for a two-week loan period. Items may be renewed.

*Secondary overdue notices are mailed to homes. Classroom teachers distribute elementary overdue notices.

PAYING FOR LOST/DAMAGED MATERIALS

*Students are required to pay for library materials, which are lost or damaged. Payment is equal to replacement cost plus 20%.

*Seniors who owe for lost/damaged materials will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony until their library account is settled.

*Payments for materials should be made in the form of check, money order, or cash in exact change. The library does not keep change.
Checks should be payable to FSUS and identify the name of the student for whom payment is being made.

MAGAZINES

A list of magazines subscribed to is available at the front desk. Back issues are kept for one year.
EBSCOhost is a service providing indexing, abstracts, and full text to over 540 periodicals covering a broad range of topics. It can be accessed on-line at epnet.com. Our ID is FSUS and our password is garnet.

INTERNET ACCESS

Internet access is provided for the purpose of furthering the educational goals, objectives, and instructional program of the school. To access the Internet, students must have a signed permission form on file in the media center. Student access is limited to class assignments. Students are not permitted to check e-mail, play electronic games, or visit non-educational sites at school. Students who do not follow school procedures will have their Internet access privileges revoked.

LIBRARY RULES
----------------------------------
All students are expected to follow school conduct rules while in the library. In addition, students are expected to talk in quiet voices, handle materials carefully, and stay on-task. Disrespect towards adults or materials will not be tolerated. Students who choose to break library rules will be asked to leave the library and may also face other school consequences. NO FOOD, DRINKS, CANDY, OR GUM IS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. NO HATS ARE TO BE WORN INSIDE THE BUILDING.
