Activity Fees
The activity fee for school year 2008-2009 is $280 per student for grades K-5 and $330 per student for grades 6-12.
FEE DEADLINE
Student Activity fees are due within 30 calendar days of the start of each school year. For school year 2008-09 the due date is September 17, 2008. If a Student is admitted after the first day of school, their fees are due within 30 calendar days of admission. Pre-payments may be made during the summer months, for information contact the FSUS accounting office at 245-3726.
Accounts not paid in full by the above deadline will be charged a $20.00 administrative fee for late payment. Any student that does not pay their fees in full will have their invitation for enrollment to FSUS withdrawn for the next school year.
FREE AND REDUCED WAIVERS
Those who qualify for the Free or Reduced Price Meals Program may be eligible for a waiver of the activity fee. In order to be eligible for the waiver of activity fees, the application for Free and Reduced lunch must be received by the Lunchroom Manager within 30 calendar days of the start of each school year. If a Student is admitted after the first day of school, their application must be received by the Lunchroom Manager within 30 calendar days of admission. If you qualify for the activity fee wavier but do not meet the 30 day application deadline, the activity fee will be due in full. The Free and Reduced Lunch application is included in the orientation packet or may be obtained from the FSUS website after August 1st at: http://fsus.fsu.edu/depts/cafeteria/documents/free&reducedlunch.pdf.
Once a student is approved for free or reduced lunch, an adjustment will be made to the activity fee. If the fees have already been paid, a refund will automatically be processed. A percentage of students that participate in this program will be audited. Accounts may need further adjusting at that time. It is highly recommended that families with fee waivers provide volunteer hours to the school.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
No student who has outstanding activity fee balances will be allowed to participate in any extra-curricular activity that is funded through the collection of these fees (i.e. Sports, Music, Field Trips, etc.).
PARTIAL YEAR FEE SCHEDULES
Activity fees will be prorated for new students who attend for less than a full school year. For each part of a quarter that the new student attends FSUS, they must pay ¼ of the activity fee.
There are no refunds and fees will not be prorated due to withdrawal.
