Pre-Med / Health Science

Is a group of courses dealing with human and animal health. The basic sciences of biology, chemistry, and physics are aimed at the study and research of health and the application of that knowledge to improve health, prevent and cure diseases, and understand how humans and animals function. There are a wide range of traditional areas of health science. The most common areas are: medicine, nursing, and various forms of therapy to supplement the healing process and restore proper activity. Veterinary medicine is the health science dedicated exclusively to the care of animals.


Science

Science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge based on the scientific method, as well as to the organized body of knowledwe gained through such research. Fields of science are commonly classified along two major lines: Natural sciences, which study natural phenomena, including biological life; Social sciences, which study human behavior and societies. There are also related disciplines that are grouped into interdisciplinary and applied sciences, such as engineering and health science. Within these categories are specialized scientific fields that can include elements of other scientific disciplines. Examples of diverse scientific specialties include linguistics, archaeology, forensic psychology, materials science, microbiology, nuclear physics, paleontology, etc


Science Education

Science education is the field concerned with sharing science content and process with students in K- 12 educational facilities. The field of science education comprises science content, some sociology, and some teaching pedagogy. Science education generally concentrates on the teaching of science concepts and the addressing misconceptions that learners may hold regarding science concepts or other content.
