The Florida State University School's Visual Art Department offers six different majors to choose from.
All students MUST complete the Art Fundamentals course in order to progress to the more advanced courses within each major. The Art Fundamentals course is designed to give an overview of many art forms and to reinforce the essential vocabulary and necessary prerequisites for each of the various programs.
Students who successfully complete the Art Fundamentals course should have the foundations and may be recommended to begin a major in one of the following six majors:
- Drawing & Painting
- Sculpture
- Photography
- Graphic Design
- Yearbook
- General Art Major
Permission of the instructor is required to enroll in an Advanced Placement course.
