1. Where do we have to live to attend FSUS-FH?
We have families attending FSUS-FH from Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, Wakulla, Madison, and Liberty counties. The family must be a Florida resident.
2. What is your tuition?
We are a public school, therefore, we do not have tuition. We are NOT a Leon County School Board school. The Florida Legislature has approved
an "activity fee" to be used for supplies, field trip fuel, etc. Please see our Activity Fees page for more information.
Fee waivers are available, based on need. Free and Reduced lunch forms
must be submitted to the cafeteria manager within 30 days of enrollment to qualify.
3. What is your dress code policy?

4. What age does my child have to start kindergarten?
Florida law requires all students to be 5 years old on or before September 1st.
5. Does FSUS-FH provide transportation?
Currently we do not provide transportation. However, we do have a private company that provides this service to parents for a fee.
6. What type of curriculum does FSUS use/have?
The curriculum varies according to grade level, however, elementary grades are child centered, activity based and integrated across the subject areas. All of our curriculum is typical as defined by the State of Florida.
7. Does FSUS have the accommodations to support my ESE child, such as SLD, speech and language, ADHD, etc?
Each student is evaluated on an individual basis by our guidance personnel.
8. What is the earliest students can be dropped off in the morning? By what time do they have to be picked up in the afternoon?
All students must be off campus or involved in a school related activity (sports, clubs, Extended Day, etc.) 30 minutes after school is released. In addition, students may NOT be dropped off in the morning BEFORE 7:30 am unless they are in one of the high school extended day classes. All elementary students must report to the cafeteria if they are dropped off before the first bell rings.
9. Do you have an after school program?
Yes, the Extended Day Enrichment Program runs from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. In addition, a number of daycares pick up from our school and return back to the daycare facility.
10. When will we hear if our child has been accepted for the following school year?
After the December 10th deadline, we have to test all kindergarten and 6-12th grade applicants. All invitations and regret letters should be in the mail NO LATER THAN THE MIDDLE OF MARCH.
